What is the size when folded?

Does it rust?

Raw steel develops a natural patina over time. This is normal and it protects it. Regular seasoning maintains the surface. Your Nomade XL doesn't get damaged—it develops a patina.

Does the cover really protect against the heat?

Yes. Fiberglass + silicone. You can put your barbecue on the mat right after cooking. Floor, trunk, table — protected.

For very sensitive surfaces, you can fold the cover to double the thermal insulation.

What is the difference with the standard Nomade?

The size. The XL offers a 36 × 22 cm surface (compared to 23 × 18 cm). You can cook for 4 people instead of 1-2. The steel is also thicker (3 mm compared to 2-2.5 mm).
